Why are we here?
You've probably been there, high on a windy snow covered ridge, or working the ranch on a dry dusty afternoon when it happens. A rip, tear, or full on explosion - maybe it was your pantleg, or part of your pack, hopefully it wasn't the fly of your tent during what seemed like the storm of the century. We know, we've been there too, and that's why we started Bridger Outdoor Designs.
Bridger Outdoor Designs is on the warpath to rebuke the throw away culture, our vow to you is to minimize how often you have to discard a piece of gear. We are to pushing the boundaries of durability and long term usefulness through functional simplicity, you need us to.
Austin Timm founded Bridger Outdoor Designs in 2010 with one sewing machine in his basement apartment in Bozeman, MT. The company has since expanded on it's heritage and actively manufactures gear and apparel for sale through this website. Beginning in 2012 Bridger Outdoor Designs began to develop additional income streams by offering compliance and marketing services for small businesses in the aviation and outdoor industries.
The founder and his friend approach Granite Peak in the Beartooth Mountains of Montana in January 2008.
Our logo is more than a piece of fancy line art, it's the story of our company.
The abbreviation BOD is short for Bridger Outdoor Designs, Inc. and the replacement of the standard 'donut hole' with a Bell 412 helicopter inside the letter 'O' reflects our heritage as producers of custom rescue and aviation equipment. In an earlier version of the logo we used a silhouette of the Bridger Mountains (as viewed from Bozeman) along the top edge of the letters BOD. In the current version we incorporate the ridgeline of the 'So Crazy' portion of the Crazy Mountains (as viewed from Clyde Park, MT) to reflect our move to the Shields Valley.
